Ident Ideas

Film Idents

For this task we have been asked to create a Movie ident, making a production company for our own thriller film. We have designed with 4 original ideas that have taken inspiration from some other existing designs and we will then choose our final idea from these.

Idea 1:

Our first idea is a simple light blue mountain with our name idea, Mountain Range
productions. This was chosen because we thought it would be  something original and is appealing.

Idea 2:

For our second idea we have changed the colour of the font and mountain image from a baby blue colour to a dark red. This helps to link with the genre of thriller,relating to blood and crime. We have also used a different font in all capitals. We found this font on DaFont.com under the category ‘Horror’, this works well as its what our Sub-genre is.

Idea 3:

Our third idea is more mature for the age audience it is aimed at. We have used a more subtle colour of dark grey with a clear black background to make the mountains stand out. We have made sure no copyright was used as we filtered the search engine on google images to ‘free to use, share or modify, even commercially’ (as seen below).

Idea 4:

This idea is similar to the previous one however we have changed a few noticeable features. The first thing we changed is adding the word ‘Productions’. This makes it look more professional and mature for an older audience, which is what our thriller is aimed at.

Idea 5:

This is our last design we did. We have now got no texture on the text or mountain, I think this makes it look  more professional and better quality. This would make people want to watch our thriller more. This design is quite simple yet works with the plain black background and light grey writing. The words are in capitals and are in a bold font (found on Dafont.com) to make it stand out.
